This concerns Federal Judge Taylor's decision against President Bush, and Ann Althouse criticizing the judge in an Op-Ed piece in the August 22, 2006 NY Times. I think Ann missed the point of the judge's short-hand phrase "hereditary kings."
But then I tend to read into things people say -- in this case, into what a Judge said. A lot of the time I'm right to do so, as
a) the author/speaker may have well intended that or
b) sometimes it was a subconscious wording.
Yes, Freud was right that the "subconscious is a powerful thing", or was that the "Forbidden Planet"?
